The BETTER registry reaches 5,000 participants

We’re excited to share a major milestone for the BETTER project: more than 5,000 people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) or latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA) in Canada have joined the BETTER registry.

This achievement marks an important step forward for T1D research across the country. Each new participant brings us closer to a deeper understanding of the daily realities, needs, and priorities of people affected by type 1 diabetes.

Launched as part of the BETTER project, this national registry collects valuable insights directly from individuals living with T1D and their families. These contributions are already helping to shape research on crucial issues such as technology use, hypoglycemia management, barriers to care, and more.

“Joining the BETTER registry means helping research take real steps toward improving the lives of people living with T1D and their families”

We sincerely thank everyone who has chosen to take part and share their voice. Your collective participation strengthens the impact of research and brings us closer to meaningful improvements in care, support, and quality of life for the T1D community.
