DiabEAT: study on insulin delivery technologies and eating behaviors

Researchers at McGill University (Montreal, QC) are seeking participants for the diabEAT study. This study aims to determine if insulin delivery technologies influence eating behaviors in people living with type 1 diabetes.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Have lived with type 1 diabetes for over a year
  • Reside in Canada
  • Be aged 12 years or older
  • Use at least 2 insulin injections per day or an insulin pump
  • Have used your current insulin delivery method for at least 3 months

Your Participation

Your involvement in this research will help us understand the relationship between insulin delivery technologies and eating behaviors. You will receive a $60 compensation for completing all data collections.

How to Participate

  2. First, read the consent form.
  3. Answer a few questions to determine your eligibility.
  4. Complete a 30-minute questionnaire and receive more information about the second part of the study, during which you will:
    • Fill out a food diary for 4 days
    • Track your physical activity using an accelerometer for 8 days
    • Monitor your glucose levels using a continuous glucose monitor for 14 days
