Patient partner
What is a patient partner?
To ensure that the interests of people living with type 1 diabetes are always at the forefront, the BETTER project is conducted in collaboration with a group of patient partners, i.e. people who are living (or whose child is living) with type 1 diabetes.
To better understand participation, compensation and the role of a patient partner, our team has developed this « Patient Partner Guide ». We invite you to read it, especially if you wish to get involved in this role.
Would you like to become a patient partner?
We would like to compile a list of people who are interested in becoming patient partners. Anyone interested and who live in Canada is invited to fill out the form below.
In order to encourage the sharing of experiences and points of view, we would like to form a team of patient partners from different backgrounds. The questions may therefore concern personal characteristics, but the answers will be treated with the required confidentiality. However, if you prefer, you can decide not to answer certain questions.
You will then be contacted by email or phone. If necessary, a meeting (in person, by phone or using the Zoom platform) will be arranged with some of the team members to get to know each other better and answer your questions.
Please fill out the following form.
